Alumacraft boats utilize their patented Alumatrac mounting rail. Mounting of a downrod system on the Alumatrac Rail makes for an easy to move (and locate) installation. Fishing Specialties Utilizes the Cisco Fishing Systems mounting bracket as it is the strongest available and it is very sturdy and reliable. Gunnel widths up to 4 inches use an Alumatrac bracket with an 8.25 inch baseplate assembly. To fit the proper baseplate, measure from the inside edge of the gunnel to the outer rub rail. That is the span needed to the cup (refer to the baseplate outline drawing) Special note: There are some Alumacraft boats where the alumatrack rail is recessed about 1/2 inch from the top edge of the gunnel. The Cisco fishing systems bracket does not work with these recessed rail gunnels. To fit to those boats, go back and choose the flat surface mounted bowducer system with a standard sub plate. Use the Brocraft series brackets available from other online retailers with the universal sub plate and an 8 inch baseplate.
